Checkpoint Report
A Checkpoint Report is used to report, at a frequency defined in the Work Package, the status of the Work Package.
Contents The Checkpoint Report should cover the following topics.
- Follow ups from previous periods
- This Reporting Period
- Next Reporting Period
- Work Package Tolerance Status
- Issues and Risks
The Checkpoint Report is derived from the:
- Work Packages;
- Team Plan and actuals and the previous Checkpoint Report

Creation, update and use
Checkpoint Reports are prepared by the Team Manager at regular intervals, which is set up in the Communication Management Strategy or they are defined in the Work Package.
Checkpoint Reports are used by the Project Manager to find out how the works on the products are progressing and they are the source for the activity "Review the Stage Status".
